Samsung Watch 4 watchface redesign exploring how a smartwatch experience should evolve at a higher price point. The project responds to the prompt “scaled-up price” by stripping away the plastic, overdesigned look and reimagining the interface with cues borrowed from luxury horology.

Samsung Watch 4 Redesign

This project rethinks the Samsung Watch 4 for a scaled-up price audience. The core prompt was to ask how a smartwatch should look and feel when it moves into a higher price bracket. Current watchfaces often feel loud, cluttered, and toy-like, which clashes with the expectations of users who already appreciate luxury watches and care about aesthetics as much as functionality.

The redesign bridges horology and interface design, using visual language inspired by high-end mechanical watches while staying within the technical constraints of the Watch 4. The goal was not to add more features, but to create a calmer, more intentional watchface system that feels premium, restrained, and considered, closer to a traditional timepiece than a piece of disposable tech.
