Cost of Survival
The Cost of Survival is a fictional wartime diary that logs the slow decay of hope, identity, and humanity through the eyes of Second Lieutenant Edmund Martin. Set between 1950 and 1951, it traces England’s collapse and one soldier’s struggle to live with what remains haunted by memory, guilt, and the hollow victory of survival itself. It’s a story about what’s left when there’s nothing left to fight for.
